Great food. I’d recommend the Pepper steak with coleslaw & plantain. Banger. Good service, with very respectful staff. The shop is also situation in the heart of Hackney, giving it a really nice atmosphere. The home-made beverages are nice too. Hopefully they can stock carrot juice in the future.

I had an excellent experience at Survivor Caribbean! The food was a perfect 10/10 in terms of taste. I particularly enjoyed the escovitch fish, although there weren’t as many onions and peppers this time around, but it was still delicious. Highly recommended for authentic Caribbean flavors!

My favourite Caribbean takeaway in the area. I visit here once a month and enjoy everything on the menu! Food is tasty and portions are generous. The prices are fair and I'm always satisfied. Staff are really friendly and it's handy that there is a seating area and tables to eat. The only downfall is there is restricted Street parking.

Trying to find the best oxtail, used to go to all island grill but closed down, then pepper spice was a fail on the oxtail but there Patties are amazing and not to miss then Ewarts jerk oxtail was great at first then was not the same after two more purchases. Then found survivor, friendly staff. The women was very accommodating and friendly, I ordered a large oxtail and not expected this behemoth portion but was very satisfied for £12 and £1 for a can drink. This was by far the best oxtail I've had in hackney so far and will return again.
